The Economic Impact of the Ghuzz Invasion of Bilad al- Sham (456-472 A.H./1063-1078 A.D.)

This study seeks to investigate the Ghuzz tribes, who invaded Bilad al-Sham in the period between 456 and 471 A.H./1063 and 1078 A.D., and their military and political activities there. The study then analyzes the positive and negative economic consequences of the invasion in Bilad al-Sham, especially agriculture and trade. The economic situation in Bilad al-Sham before the arrival of the Ghuzz is surveyed in order to compare with the impact that the Ghuzz had
