The Effect of Teaching Mathematics Using Play Strategy on The Acquisition of Mathematical Skills and Improvement of Social Communication Skills for First Graders in Jordan

Abstract


This study aimed at investigating the effect of teaching mathematics using play strategy on the acquisition of mathematical skills and improvement of social communication skills for first graders in Jordan .The sample consisted of two classes in Samma Amman International School. The control group consisted of (24) students and experimental group consisted of (26) students. The researchers developed a test to measure the mathematical skills and a social communication skills instrument. The results indicated there were significant differences in social communication skills and mathematical skills on behalf of the experimental group.
