Happiness and its Relationship to Emotional Intelligence Religiosity among the Word Islamic Sciences and Education University Students

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between happiness from one hand and emotional intelligence and religiosity from the other hand among the Word Islamic Sciences and Education University Students in Amman/ Jordan. The sample of the study consisted of (650) male and female students in the academic year 2011/2012 chosen through cluster random sampling. The researcher administrated Happiness scale, emotional intelligence scale and religiosity scale. The findings of the study showed that there is a high level of religiosity and emotional intelligence while, there is an average happiness level among students. Moreover, there is a relation between happiness and emotional intelligence and religiosity. There were no differences between happiness and emotional intelligence and religiosity attributed to gender, while there were differences according to major for the Favor of fiqh students between happiness and religiosity
