The reality of "student teacher" Preparation Program in the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Zarqa University in Light of Global Competitiveness from the Faculty Members Perspective {Case Study }

Abstract


This study aims to investigate the reality of "student teacher" preparation program in the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Zarqa University in the light of global competitiveness from the faculty members' perspective. To achieve its objectives this study seeks to answer these two following questions, First: What are the standards of student teacher preparation programs in the light of global competitiveness? Second: What is the reality of the student teacher preparation program in the Faculty of educational Sciences at Zarqa University in the light of global competitiveness from the faculty members' perspective? The researchers put three hypotheses, and designed a questionnaire to collect data from the faculty members. The researchers used the descriptive method. The results showed the importance of building a list of three areas and thirteen standards for student teacher preparation program in the light of global competitiveness, and the arithmetic average of the reality of the program (4.18) which is high. The researchers recommended new studies dealing with the learning outcomes and graduates students. It also recommended the conducting of a longitudinal study to measure the extent of the program development and conducting similar studies in other contexts.
