Terrorism in Islam and the West

Abstract


This study touches on a dangerous phenomenon spreading throughout the world, that is terrorism phenomenon. This study intends to expose the concept of terrorism according to Islam and the West, and to illuminate the Western paradoxism in theorerising terrorism. Likewise, this study intends to deepen the concept and trace its firm legitimacy in order to get to its real legal ruling. Thus, this study looks into the definition of terrorism, in the Qu’ran and the Tradition of the prophet and determines the birth of the definition of terrorism in the West later being spread in the Western Society, in an effort to define the term terrorism, kinds of terrorism and its legimacy. And in the Conclusion included the most important results that have been reached.
