Attitudes of the Public Schools Principals Towards Applying Knowledge Management to Active performance Excellence in Sharjah

Abstract
This study aimed to know the attitudes of the public schools principals towards the application of knowledge management to achieve the excellent performance in Sharjah, in addition to know the effect of (Gender, Major and Experience) variables on the principals attitudes towards applying knowledge management.
Study population consisted of (73) male and female principals according to statics from ministry of education and al-Sharjah education region for the scholastic year (2014-2015) including all the study population. To achieve the study goals, the study instrument has been developed which consisted of (50) clauses distributed to nine fields.The instrument validity and stability have been confirmed.
The study results showed that the attitudes of the public schools principals towards the application of knowledge management to achieve performance excellence in Sharjah Emirate were very high, since mean reached (4.209) and there were no differences with statistically significance at significance level (α≤0.05) in the responses of the respondents about the reality of the application of knowledge management to achieve performance excellence in the public schools in Sharjah attributes to the variables (gender, major and experience).
The study reached a set of recommendations, the most important is to benefit from the schools principals who have the knowledge and the awareness’ about knowledge in the top leadership jobs to achieve performance excellence.
