Abstract

This study aimed at examining the effect of ballistic training with weights on strength characterized by speed improvement, attention focus and accuracy of smash hits in Volleyball.
Researcher used the experimental approach while the sample Consists of (25) trainee at the Baqa Club. Participants were divided into two groups: Control group consists of (12) trainee and experimental group of (13). Training program was applied on the experimental group through three training session per week, 60 minutes each session. For the period of 8 weeks. While control group members used the conventional program.
Data analysis revealed the presence of statistically significant differences between per and post measures in favor of post measure of the control group in explosive power by Speed. Furthermore, results revealed the presence of statistically significant differences in the attention focus variable, accruing of smash hits too. Post test data revealed the presence of statistically significant differences in favor of experimental group in comparison with the control group members in the explosive power variable, attention Focus, precision of smash hit skill variables in Volleyball.
Researcher recommends the use of ballistic training with weights 30%-50% weights for volleyball trainees who are in age bracket of (14) years.
