The Degree of Use of the University Students to the Social Networking Sites in the Educational Process and the Difficulties Delay of Use

Abstract


This study aimed to reveal the degree of use of the university students to the social networking sites in the educational process and the difficulties delay of use. To answer the questions of the study, the researchers developed questionnaire to reveal the degree of use of the university students to the social networking sites in the educational process and the difficulties delay of use. The sample of the study consists of (175)(male, female) students, which they collected randomly from Al-Shoubak University College.
The results showed that the degree of use of the university students to the social networking sites in the educational process was moderate degree. And also indicated that there were no statically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) in the degree of use according to gender variable, study program, and study level of the student.
The results showed that there were statically significant differences in the difficulties delay of using the social networking sites in the educational process among study program, and there weren’t statically significant differences in the difficulties delay of use among gender and study level of the student.
In the light of the finding of the study, the researchers recommended the need to activate and promote the use of the social networking sites in the educational process by faculty members.
