Effectiveness of an Inquiry-Based Computer Simulation in Developing Secondary School Students' Conceptual Understanding in Physics

Abstract


The purpose of this research was to examine the effectivnesss of a computer simulation inquiry teaching method on students conceptual understanding in physics. A quasi-experimental design was used and participants were (63) 12th grade students. Aconceptual understanding instrument was developed which included six facet of understanding. Results revealed that there were significant differences in conceptual understanding between students to the preference of the experimental group who studied by inquiry based computure simulation.
