Quality Performance Assessment of Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan related to (NCATE) Standards for Accreditation of Teacher Preparation Programs from the perspective of Faculty members

Abstract


This study aimed at determining the degree which the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan applies the NCATE Standards from the perspective of faculty members. A questionnaire of 48 items was designed and applied to a sample (n=58). Data obtained were analyzed and indicated that the degree of the Faculty of Educational Sciences applies the NCATE Standards was medium, while the degree of applying NCATE six standards was medium-level for the first and fifth standard , and low – level for other standards.
The study also found that there were statistically differences between averages attributed to faculty member's order due to associated professor and professor, and experience due to less than 5 years and from5 to10 years.
Some recommendations were cited, for the Faculty of Educational Sciences and researchers.
