Othman Ghnaim, Majeda Abu-Zanah

This paper aims at analyzing and elaborating, to what extent sustainable development, with its concept and content, which has been approved by the United Nations, can be applied and practiced in accordance with predominant economic culture.

The descriptive analysis of sustainable development factors are considered throughout this study. Facts are deduced and formed in a logical structure which is supported by the available facts. This study proves that it is difficult to apply such a kind of development with this predominant economic culture. Application of sustainable development needs moral and humane frames that contradict the concepts of the current and predominant economic culture.
