Sustainable Development and the Arab Islamic Culture

The objective of this study is to shed light on the consistency between principals, dimensions and concepts of the sustainable development and the Arab Islamic Culture. A descriptive approach is adopted to analyze the factual and theoretical conceptions in an attempt to draw some useful scientific results and conclusions.

This study concludes that Arab Islamic Culture can play an important role in enhancing the concept of sustainability in most aspects of our life. The concept of sustainability in Islamic religion is not only suite Islamic world countries, but it can suite every country. This is in accordance with Islam being a global religion, and also consistent the recommendations adopted by 21 Agenda in the conference of the globe in 1992.
